Course: 8m run, 25m Bike, 8m Run

Note: Phew, wow & thank goodness it's done! :-) The first run was solid & done in good time with an average 7.5 minute miles. The fog cleared when I hit the bike and enjoyed the 3 laps on the bike and averaged just over 30 minutes per lap. The last run was the true test of character! For the first 2 miles my feet were numb and my legs were so tired and heavy. At the start I was averaging 8.5 minute miles which I knew I would struggle to sustain. The course all of a sudden felt quiet and there weren't any people around. With 3 miles to go - I started to feel like I wanted to stop - which I knew would be game over if I did. The final run up Boxhill was hard... so hard - I felt like I was running on empty... then out of the mist, sweat and close to tears was my lively supporter with a smile on his face and a big 'C'mon babe'! Jay has been my trainer; coach and inspiration for my first race. I thank him dearly - I've got to say I loved it! Roll on the next one! I love you darling x
